Yesterday (1/27) I went out with Eric Huang to Danshui LaoJie, where we were expecting little crowd considering the weather was okay only and half the people are probably out at relatives places. Unexpectedly.. when we got there, the place was overflowed with a massive amount of people, so much we could barely accept it. What got me slightly pissed off was half the people there were from Mainland China, littering everywhere they go. Danshui used to be a good place.
So anyways. It was kind of ironic how the place was filled with Chinese people, yet, there were tons of Taiwan flags over the entire place, along the streets, flag poles, on top of buildings, ports, ect. I found that kind of... interesting... with all the Chinese people staring at it.
So we decided it was way too crowded, and decided to go to ShiLing night market, where it was closer to school. We were planning to meet up with Henry Lee and Nathan Shen - they never showed up. So instead, we met up with James 'Walksman' and Kevin 'Juggernaut'. It was kind of an interesting time there.. the new built basement part of the shiling night market was not bad - except 90% of the food down there were 蚵阿煎 or things I just don't like.. so I didn't really stay down there, considering it was full down there with people too.. We left and strolled around for a while, but again, there were large crowds there too...
