Sam Childers - my personal inspiration.

Please actually read this... it's sad
Yea, so I bet of the 300 people (or maybe just 1 or 2 who keeps refreshing my page...hm...) that read my blog, less than 5 people would know this men, yet, he is one of my greatest inspiration of recent years for world peace. Samuel Childers, born in US, former gang biker, is now one of the man in Southern Sudan / Northen Uganda in which helps more than 300 children stay alive.
The guy looking back is him. yes. that's him. kinda fat but strong

You're probably wondering... who the hell is he anyways. Well. He got pretty damn famous these past years, first he published a book - Another Man's War.
okay. he had a book... so what.
YOU ALL WATCH RECENT MOVIES?
YEA WELL. Machine Gun Preacher (2011) is the story based on his life, and it's really sad.
So I'm going to summarize his life for you, because it's just inspirational.
Sam Childers was a men who was part of a biking gang, like those with cool motorbikes riding down the streets. He lives in a small place, and is a drug addict, smoker, drunk guy, etc. After serving his time in prison, he returns to his wife. His wife was a stripper, but after Sam's time in jail, Sam learns that his wife has began a day-job instead, and quit being a stripper, as well as the fact that she now believes in god. After many arguments, there was finally this one time where Sam Childers showed up at the church with his wife, and he realizes his life was a mess. The second time he went to the church, there was a guest speaker who presented the idea of how much need is needed in Africa. As a construction-ist, he decides to travel to Africa to see help a group of relief team construct in central Uganda, where currently peaceful. During his stay there, he requested a militant to bring him  to Northern Uganda for a "two day visit." His stay in a house was fine until approximately a hundred kids came strolling by, laying mattresses right outside and around the house. He then learns that these kids are sent out at night from their homes because their parents are aware of how likely death is at home compared to running around and sleeping outside. Sam later returns to the US and began planning. Months later, he built a church right across of his house in US, and began building a orphanage in the middle of a deserted war zone in Southern Sudan, aware of the chances of being killed. He had many local militants' protection. Eventually, he learned his lesson - Sam's orphanage there was burned down by militants. After his wife's encouragement, he got down and built the orphanage right back up, with protection this time. Ultimately, he saved lots and lots of kids in this region, despite his continuous shortages of money. Ultimately, he even sold everything he had but the house, just to continue to run the church across from his house, and the lives of the people in Africa.
This guy. damn. he inspired me by ALOT.
