Aloha Hawai'i: Day One Part Two

After we checked in and rested for a while, we left our room to check out the village - what it has and stuff..  we kinda walked around and stuff, didn't take too much photos.. but still, here :D

We stayed there for quite a while,until we left for dinner, which we ate a this Japanese restaurant (boy were there a lot of Japanese restaurants out here...) ANYWAYS. i didn't get any photos for that..

So... after dinner, we went back and over to the beach and we didn't even know there were fireworks EVERY SINGLE NIGHT by our hotel... boy are they rich... so... this is probably the first time i took so many "good" photos of fireworks cause most of the time they just kinda blur out..

Aloha Hawai'i: Day One Part One

So... Finally got the moment to start talking about the trip :D
On the first day, I left Taiwan on 3/28, at around 11 in the morning (Taiwan time), heading for Hawaii
after a 10+ hours flight (and another 2-3 hours for transfer at Tokyo), I got to Hawai'i

Instead of getting straight to the hotel or sth, we had to wait for Tiffany to meet up with us, and her flight from LA gets here 3 hours later, so we stayed in the airport. It is probably one of the worst airports ever, there were no stores except for a single starbucks... which explains what we did there...

so anyways, after we met up, we went to the hotel, which was Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was actually a pretty good hotel. [Yes. no shit. it's Hilton.] Anyways, we got there at around noon, and we couldn't get into our room until 2, so we went around the village/hotel compound and found Round Table for lunch. (Round Table = pizza shop)

so.... we checked in and I loved the view,, without further ado, here's the view:

The Sea - A short Poem

So we're writing poems in English class, and this is supposed to reflect yourself...but apparently, I twisted the whole story :D


The Sea.
Jeffrey Chang

The warm sun shines on the cold blue sea,

Warming the sea up, but it stays cold,

Cold as it is forever alone, like a lonely man on the street,

Who no one cares for.

Boats pass through the vast sea,

But they never stop here, as there is nowhere to stop,

The fish from it, but never return a thing,

Then they sail away, not leaving a path, like they were deleted from your mind forever.

People come into the sea, and take oil from below,

But when it leaks, they act like it was an accident,

Leaving a spot of pain,

As much as they clean up, it is like a drop of ink on paper,

You can wipe it off, but there will be a stain forever

That cannot ever be fixed.

But all the pain, is just absorbed by the vast sea,

All the fish, all the creatures,

They suffer the same pain,

But cared by the vast sea, like they are one big family,

Brought together by mother nature.

here's the thing.
I haven't been posting much images because I have been working on three things, that'll hopefully be done by the end of april:
1.) a collection of photos for Freshmen year
2.) a 100 day challenge that you'll see someday
3.) writing the viva la vida better and stronger
so... hopefully i'll be able to catch up with you guys after i come back from Hawaii :D

Viva La Vida

So... some of my friends + some people im not familiar + a few people i didn't even know till days ago decided to form a practice group for performing in TAS...
i gotta say..... this is definitely the most time i've spent on music in a single day for a long time.
I spent hours writing the song "Viva La Vida" listening to the music.....
Sibelius helped a little :D
still not done, super frickin hard, but it's gna be a great performance~!

Despite the fact this is an all war movie... i still watched it because
1.) it's my dad's bday, he wanted to watch a movie
2.) there isn't really any other movies other than John Carter...which..
3.) John Carter was full
4.) I didn't feel like watching a romantic movie today anyways
Anyways, responses:
1.) holy crap - that's actually really really realistic compared to other war movies
2.) holy crap - the story is so not explained well to people who don't understand military stuff, even though i understood, it still wasn't perfectly clear

Photography.

People often say: "Just because you have an overpriced camera, doesn't mean you are a photographer."
yeah. i guess that's true, but it certainly doesn't apply for me.
I love taking photos, so don't keep saying things like "you just have an overpriced camera" or "just because you have a dslr, blahblahblah."
I might not be like Daryl, capturing the perfect moment, but I capture all the memories that complete a whole in my mind - not yours. Some photos are for memory, some are for entertainment, mine - I try to make them my photos "entertaining memories" - so don't complain how it's not perfect, or im not skilled.
